SFO Responds to PGR Parking Complaint

leave a comment »

A few weeks back I posted a blog entry about the problems that the Patriot Guard Riders encountered parking at the SFO International terminal for a soldier’s welcome home ride. Well, that letter was answered.

In fact, it was not only answered, but it triggered action. The manager of the garage very graciously contacted us and aplogized for the confusion. But even better, he has actually been working to resolve these issues.

It seems that in the future, the airport will (when properly cooridnated) provide special, free, parking to motorcycle groups coming to the airport for special events (for example to welcome home returning soldiers).

There is still some work to be done to get the final plans in place before the next PGR mission, but it looks like these issues are all being addressed in a timely fashion.

Our congratulations to the manager and employees at the International Terminal garage for working with the motorcycle community to resolve these issues.
