Welcome Home Sgt. Dario Giomi
On March 27, 2010 member of the Patriot Guard Riders and the Rip City Riders welcomed home US Army Sgt. Dario Giomi at San Francisco International airport. The Sgt. had just completed his mission training new police recruits in Afghanistan. Welcome home Sergeant. Well Done.
The flight was about an hour late arriving but that did not dampen the spirits of the friends, family and approx. 40 riders that assembled to meet him. After a safety briefing, the riders departed the assembly area for SFO. The Sergeant, who was expecting only a few family members, was overwhelmed by the greeting.
After thanking the sergeant for his service, the riders then provided a motorcycle escort for him and his family to their home in the north bay. Flags mounted to the motorcycles made it very clear to all who viewed the procession that an American hero was headed home.
Thanks to the San Francisco, CHP and Novato police offers that took note of the procession and flashed their lights in approval. You tribute was noted and deeply appreciated.
Because this was a night mission, the photos and video are poor quality, but here there are nonetheless.
Welcome Home Sergeant. Thank you.
